The journey

From classroom to system-level transformation

Hatem began as a Biology teacher before moving into departmental leadership, educational technology, positive education, teacher development and education strategy. His career includes leadership roles at Dubai International School, Al Ittihad Private School, NetDragon Websoft and NDX.

That progression gives him a view of education at every level — from the reality of an individual classroom to professional learning, school leadership, technology implementation and government strategy.

Education strategy

Technology shaped around learning

Hatem works at the intersection of pedagogy, technology and policy. He believes digital transformation succeeds only when technology connects with curriculum, teacher capability, student needs, implementation strategy and measurable educational outcomes.

AI in education

Teacher empowerment, not replacement

Hatem explores how AI can support lesson preparation, content development, assessment, differentiation and professional learning while confronting teacher readiness, student safety, equity, data governance and responsible use.

Human-centred education

Keep relationships at the centre

His background in wellbeing and social-emotional learning shapes a simple principle: technology should give teachers more time for judgement, empathy, mentorship and meaningful human interaction — not push those qualities aside.

Teacher development

Transformation happens in the classroom

Practical classroom experience grounds Hatem's work with teachers. The focus is not only how to operate new tools, but how to integrate them thoughtfully into teaching practice and improve learning.
